  • Nothing in these Terms limits rights that cannot be excluded under Australian Consumer Law.
  • You can review the privacy summary from the Policy Hub.

1. About these Terms

These Terms of Service (Terms) govern your access to and use of AusLanka Events. By accessing or using this service, you agree to these Terms.

If you use this service on behalf of a business or organisation, you represent that you are authorised to bind that entity to these Terms.

These Terms operate together with our Privacy Policy.

2. Service role and current ticketing model

AusLanka Events is an event listing and discovery platform. Organizers publish event information and choose where ticket sales are handled.

As of 17 February 2026, ticket purchases on AusLanka Events are redirected to external ticketing platforms selected by each organizer.

We do not currently process event-ticket payments directly on this service. Where an external platform is used, your purchase is subject to that platform's terms and policies.

3. External ticket transactions, refunds, and disputes

For externally sold tickets, AusLanka is not responsible for ticket transactions, payments, chargebacks, refunds, cancellations, ticket fulfilment, or disputes between users, organizers, and third-party ticketing services.

If you have a payment, refund, cancellation, or booking dispute, you should first contact the event organizer and the external ticketing provider shown on the event listing.

Nothing in this section excludes any rights that cannot be excluded under applicable law.

4. Other AusLanka service terms

Other AusLanka services have separate legal terms and policies:

5. Eligibility and accounts

  • You must provide accurate and complete account information.
  • You are responsible for account security and activity under your credentials.
  • You must promptly notify us of unauthorised account access or suspected misuse.

6. Organizer obligations

Organizers must ensure listings and conduct are lawful and accurate, including:

  • event dates, venue details, and ticket links;
  • pricing and refund information presented to attendees;
  • rights to use uploaded content (images, text, logos, and branding);
  • compliance with applicable laws, including Australian Consumer Law and any relevant state or territory ticket-resale and event laws.

7. User obligations and acceptable use

You must not misuse the service. You must not:

  • post misleading, fraudulent, unlawful, or infringing content;
  • attempt to bypass security controls, authentication, or rate limits;
  • scrape, harvest, or automate access in ways that harm the service;
  • interfere with platform operation or another user's access.

When you follow a ticket link to an external provider, you are responsible for reviewing and complying with that provider's terms and policies.

8. Third-party links and services

This service may contain links to third-party websites and services. We do not control and are not responsible for third-party content, availability, security, or privacy practices.

Your use of third-party services is governed by their own terms and privacy documents.

9. Intellectual property and content licence

AusLanka and its licensors own the service, including software, design, and branding (excluding user-provided content).

You grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to host, reproduce, and display your submitted event content to operate and promote the service.

10. Suspension and termination

We may suspend, restrict, or terminate access where we reasonably believe there is a breach of these Terms, legal risk, security risk, or operational necessity.

You may stop using the service at any time. Provisions that should continue by nature (including liability, indemnity, and IP provisions) survive termination.

11. Disclaimers

To the maximum extent permitted by law, the service is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. We do not guarantee uninterrupted, error-free, or always-available service.

We do not warrant outcomes for external ticket purchases, organizer performance, or third-party platform operations.

12. Liability and Australian Consumer Law

Nothing in these Terms excludes, restricts, or modifies any right, guarantee, or remedy under the Australian Consumer Law (ACL) or other law where that is not permitted.

To the extent permitted by law, our liability for non-excludable obligations is limited (at our option) to re-supplying the relevant service or paying the cost of having it supplied again.

To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive loss, including loss of profits, revenue, goodwill, data, or opportunities.

13. Indemnity

You agree to indemnify us against claims, losses, liabilities, costs, and expenses (including reasonable legal costs) arising from your breach of these Terms, your content, or unlawful use of the service.

14. Changes to service or terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Updates will be posted on this page with a revised "last updated" date. Material changes may be communicated through additional notices where reasonable.

15. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Australia. You submit to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of Australian courts and the courts of the state or territory in which we operate.

16. Contact

Questions about these Terms can be sent to contact us.
